APPLICATION:
Dry powder material with fire retardancy for use in immobilizing liquids on
land, including water, fuels, solvents, paints, etc. The product is suitable to
bond or congeal a spill to slow or stop the spread of the liquid.
RECOMMENDED APPLICATION RATE:
The product is ideally suited for spill clean ups, rapidly transforming liquids and
fluids to a removable solid with minimal volumetric increase. The amount of
product to be used depends on the desired results (i.e., from congealing to
solidification). The application rate may vary with viscosity of the liquid
being picked up. To fully solidify the liquid normally requires one (1)
pound of A630R to 25 pounds of spilled liquid. Test on small sample
for predictable rate of usage.
SPECIFIC WEIGHT: N / A
WEIGHT BY VOLUME: One (1) pound equals (114) cubic inches.
SPECIFIC GRAVITY: .91
FLASH POINT: N/A
PH SPECIFICATIONS: Neutral (6.5 to 7)
TOXICITY: This product is non-toxic, non-hazardous,
non-corrosive.
TYPES OF MATERIAL TO BE TREATED:
Liquids and solvents. Not suitable for some acids. Before
application, user should test applicability of product in small samples of
the spilled liquid to determine the suitability and/or application rate
needed.
STORAGE SPECIFICATIONS: Store in dry area. Keep free of contamination.
VOLATILITY BEFORE USE: None
VOLATILITY AFTER USE: Varies with the flammability of the
liquid being absorbed.
TESTING REFERENCE:
The product has been field tested and demonstrated on various flammable and
hazardous liquid chemicals. Information available upon request.
PACKAGING:
The product may be packaged in assorted sizes and containers depending on
the desire or need of the user. Normal package is ten (10) pound bag.
METHOD OF DISPOSAL:
Extreme caution must be exercised when handling, storing and disposing of
solidified or gelled hazardous materials. COMPLIANCE: Solidified or gelled
materials must be disposed of in accordance with federal, state and local
laws and regulations. The user is solely responsible for compliance with
disposal laws and regulations; the manufacturer or seller assumes no
responsibility for the proper or improper disposal of solidified or gelled materials.
PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS:
The product is non-toxic, non-hazardous, non-corrosive. A630R™ should be used
to control leaks and spills on dry surfaces.
Leaks and spills on land and structural surfaces: Spread evenly on the surface of a spill and allow solidification (1 - 5 minutes, depending on waste stream). Remove as conditions allow. Containerized wastes can also be solidified. Mechanical mixing is required to achieve best results.
Leaks and spills on water: If necessary, use A630R on water. Product will pick up water along with spilled material. Spread evenly over the surface of the water; allow solidification and remove as conditions permit. For water-borne spills with petroleum base, use A610, A640R or S650.
